Our Story, Our Team, Our Gym
Tsunami Allstars Cheerleading began with a simple idea — to give young people in Scunthorpe the opportunity to experience the excitement and teamwork of Allstar cheerleading.
Why We Love Cheerleading
Tsunami Allstars is a not-for-profit constituted community sports team, built around the belief that sport should be accessible, supportive, and community-driven.
Every coach and staff member volunteers their time because they genuinely want to be there. They love the sport, believe in the athletes, and are passionate about helping young people grow in confidence and ability.
The gym is proudly family-run, and the community around it reflects that. Parents, athletes, coaches, and supporters all play a part in creating something bigger than just a sports team.
We truly believe it takes a village, and together we raise and support our athletes both on and off the mat.

It takes a village...
In 2026, Tsunami Allstars is proudly celebrating its 10th season and 10-year birthday, a huge milestone for the gym and the community around it. What started with just 11 athletes has grown into a thriving programme of over 100 athletes, competing across multiple teams and levels.
This season marks another exciting chapter, with two teams competing at the prestigious Allstar Worlds and one team travelling to compete at the AIA Global Tournament in Montreal, an incredible achievement for a community-run programme.
Today, Tsunami Allstars continues to welcome athletes of all ages and abilities, providing opportunities to learn, compete, and be part of something special.
Because at Tsunami, it’s not just a sports team - we are family.
